Art Prints of Historic Sites in Bethel for Sale

Winners of the art competition are on display permanently in the dining hall of Bethel Presbyterian Church. The three paintings in giclée prints are for sale at Blue Ridge Books, Cruso Community Center, and Jukebox Junction.

	The Bethel Rural Community Organization is firmly committed to protecting its rural heritage. The Bethel area of Haywood County in Western North Carolina would quite simply not be the same without its beautiful farmlands, forests, and other rural lands. These lands benefit all of us, not just farmers and other landowners. These lands provide the scenic views that please both locals and tourists. They host jobs and create local tax revenue. They provide fresh food, Christmas trees, wildlife habitat, flood protection, water quality, and more. Take a look at the pictures on this page and imagine these scenes disappearing. Welcome to the Bethel Rural Community Organization located in historic Western North Carolina. BRCO is the oldest community service organization in Haywood County and has been recently recognized by the WNC Communities as a "Community of Promise".

Through fund raisers, members support the schools in Bethel, a food pantry and actively work on farmland and historic preservation issues. We also have a benevolence committee that works closely with our schools to assist the families of children who may need some financial help.

We are headquartered in the historic Bethel Presbyterian Church, which celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2010. We hold our meetings there as well as public educational meetings.
